Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso 
The Founder of our tradition is Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. Geshe Kelsang is a fully accomplished meditation master and internationally renowned teacher of Kadampa Buddhism.
Geshe-la, as his students affectionately call him, was ordained as a Buddhist monk at the age of eight and then spent almost forty years in concentrated study and meditation.
He has dedicated his entire life to teaching Buddhism and to providing conditions conducive for the study and practice of Buddhas teachings, with the sole aim of helping others discover a meaningful life and solve their problems.
Geshe-la has written twenty highly acclaimed books that reveal the complete path to enlightenment, trained hundreds of meditation teachers through the Teacher Training Programme, and established over 1000 meditation centres in over 40 countries.
A humble monk, he is made extraordinary by his selfless wish and tireless work for others to have everything they need to follow the spiritual path.
Through his instructions Geshe-la shows how we can integrate Buddha's advice into our modern lives and find real, lasting peace and happiness.
Gen-la Kelsang Dekyong 
is an Irish nun and senior disciple of Geshe Kelsang Gyatso.
She is the General Spiritual Director of the New Kadampa Tradition and regularly gives meditation courses in many countries throughout the world as well as being the Resident Teacher at Manjushri Kadampa Meditation Centre in Cumbria.
Gen-la Dekyong is an inspiring teacher who has been studying and practising Buddhism for many years.
Her sincerity in putting Buddha's teachings into practise in her own life and her compassion for others make her a perfect example of a modern Buddhist practitioner.
Through her teachings and her example she is able to help others attain inner peace and happiness through following the Buddhist path.
Kadam Bridget Heyes
The National Spiritual Director of the UK is Kadam Bridget Heyes. She is a senior disciple of Geshe Kelsang Gyatso and is the Resident Teacher at Nagarjuna Centre in Northamptonshire.
She is an inspiration for all those who wish to transform all activities into the spiritual path.
